Looking after your new window film

A few simple steps keep your film looking good for years. Questions? Send us a photo on WhatsApp.

The first few weeks

Your film is fitted with water, so it needs time to dry out fully: usually a few weeks, longer in cold or damp weather. A little haze, small water bubbles or streaks are normal while it dries. They clear on their own, so please don’t press or pick at them.

Don’t clean it for 7 days

Leave the film alone for the first 7 days, and keep blinds or curtains from rubbing against it.

How to clean it after that

  • A soft microfibre cloth or soft rubber squeegee with warm, soapy water.
  • Wipe gently and dry with a clean cloth.
  • No scrapers, blades, scourers or ammonia-based glass cleaners.
  • No tape, stickers or suction cups on the film.

If something looks wrong

Still seeing bubbles or haze after 30 days, or an edge lifting? Send us a photo and we’ll come back and put it right. Every fitting has a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
